This engagement ring features a 1.53 carat center diamond set on an 18K gold and platinum structure. The platinum secures the prong settings — it is the hardest metal used in fine jewelry, and its white color remains stable over the years, unlike white gold, which may require periodic re-rhodium plating.
The center diamond is lab-grown with VVS2 clarity (near perfect purity) and D color – the whitest grade for diamonds, completely colorless. This VVS2/D combination represents one of the highest standards commercially available. The accompanying diamonds add 0.08 carats. Total: 1.61 carats. Periodic in-store cleaning preserves the diamond's brilliance.
